EVENT WILL GENERATE MORE THAN 2,600 ROOM NIGHTS AND MORE THAN $1.5 MILLION IN DELEGATE SPENDING FOR ATLANTIC CITY ATLANTIC CITY, NJ (Wednesday, March 4, 2015)

The Atlantic City Convention Center will welcome more than 6,000 volleyball athletes and spectators into the facility for the Jersey Surfside Festival indoor volleyball tournament, which will take place for three days throughout the weekend. 

Local Atlantic City businesses are expected to greatly benefit from the Jersey Surfside Festival activity at the Convention Center over the weekend. The estimated delegate spending is expected to reach more than $1 million. In addition, more than 2,600 hotel rooms have been contracted by Convention Center visitors throughout the week.

The Jersey Surfside Festival is the newest East Coast indoor volleyball tournament in Atlantic City. Teams from the surrounding regions will take part in the first indoor volleyball event held at the Atlantic City Convention Center. The tournament will begin on Friday, March 6 and conclude on Sunday, March 8. Athletes will have the chance to set, bump and serve against competitors in front of their family and friends.

Volleyball fans will see as many as 18 courts with simultaneous games throughout the exhibit floor this weekend. Coming out to support these teams will be a thrilling way to beat those winter blues.”

A variety of vendors and sponsors will have booths at the competition. The hours of operation are 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day of the tournament.
