The Atlantic City Convention Center will welcome more than 6,000 volleyball athletes and spectators into the facility for the Jersey Surfside Festival indoor volleyball tournament, which will take place for three days throughout the weekend.

Local Atlantic City businesses are expected to greatly benefit from the Jersey Surfside Festival activity at the Convention Center over the weekend. The estimated delegate spending is expected to reach more than $1 million. In addition, more than 2,600 hotel rooms have been contracted by Convention Center visitors throughout the week.

Jim Wood, President and CEO of Meet AC said, "Sports continues to be a very vibrant travel segment for Atlantic City. We look forward to hosting the thousands of players and fans that are participating in the 2015 Jersey Surfside Festival.”
The Jersey Surfside Festival is the newest East Coast indoor volleyball tournament in Atlantic City. Teams from the surrounding regions will take part in the first indoor volleyball event held at the Atlantic City Convention Center. The tournament will begin on Friday, March 6 and conclude on Sunday, March 8. Athletes will have the chance to set, bump and serve against competitors in front of their family and friends.

Karen Totaro, General Manager, Global Spectrum at Atlantic City Convention Center stated, “We are thrilled to have another great athletic tournament take place at the Atlantic City Convention Center. Volleyball fans will see as many as 18 courts with simultaneous games throughout the exhibit floor this weekend. Coming out to support these teams will be a thrilling way to beat those winter blues.”

A variety of vendors and sponsors will have booths at the competition. The hours of operation are 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day of the tournament.
