Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall offers a 141,000-square-foot arena and a 23,100-square-foot ballroom, ideal for hosting basketball, wrestling, and other events.

Apply to Host at a City-Owned Venue

You must submit a Special Events Application to start the approval process if you choose to host at one of our city-owned locales, including parks, beaches, or the boardwalk. The application process typically involves submitting a formal proposal outlining the details of your sports event, including the date, type of sport, estimated number of participants and spectators, and any specific requirements. 

The Atlantic City Sports Commission can provide clear guidelines and conditions for the application, ensuring that all necessary permits and logistics are in place for a seamless experience.
