ATLANTIC CITY SPORTS COMMISSION PARTNERS WITH THE COLOR RUN
Tickets Will Go On Sale April 15
ATLANTIC CITY, NJ (Monday, April 13, 2015) The Atlantic City Sports Commission, powered by Meet AC has partnered with The Color Run for its third 5k event in Atlantic City.
For the third year in a row, The Color Run will be returning to Bader Field in Atlantic City on August 22 for their 2015 Shine Tour. Tickets for the Shine Tour will go on sale to VIP members on April 15 at special pricing and regular priced tickets will go on sale starting April 20.
The Atlantic City Sports Commission is proud to announce our partnership with The Color Run. “We are thrilled to partner with The Color Run. This is a fun race and is widely known, which will bring in a unique group of runners to Atlantic City,” said Jim Wood, President and CEO of Meet AC.
The Color Run, also known as the Happiest 5k on the Planet, is a unique paint race that celebrates healthiness, happiness and individuality. The Color Run is a five-kilometer, un-timed race in which thousands of participants are doused from head to toe in different colors at each kilometer. The Color Run is not about your ten minute mile, but more about having the time of your life. The Color Run, debuted their new Shine Tour in 2015 bringing a fresh spin and unique experience to Color Runners around the world. The Shine Tour enhances the experience that Color Runners already love with an all-new Sparkle Zone™ on the running course with unique opportunities for colorful photographs throughout the course.
“With the Shine Tour, we wanted to create an immersive and transformative experience beyond anything our runners have experienced with us so far,” said Travis Snyder, founder of The Color Run. “The Shine Tour is the next generation of The Color Run and participants will be able to feel and visibly see themselves transform throughout each kilometer of the event.”
The fun continues after Color Runners complete the race with an unforgettable finish line festival. At the Finish Festival, participants can enjoy music, dancing and massive color throws with accents of new confetti cannons, shimmery clouds of color, sparkle, and more.
